This homeschool art class is for kids ages 6-8 whose parents wish to keep their homeschooled children on more typical school-day hours.
Your child will learn the fundamentals of art through multiple art projects and mediums!

Research shows that students who take art classes show more interest in class, are better behaved and score higher on standardized tests. But sadly, Oklahoma schools have cut more than 1,110 fine art classes since 2014, with low-income and small town schools suffering the most.
The Oklahoman says “The arts are a path many parents know complements their child’s strengths and shapes their academic and career trajectories. Data shows us that all students can benefit from arts education. And now, our own data shows that too often, Oklahoma schoolchildren lack access to fine arts courses, thus limiting their potential.”
Additionally, more and more parents are opting to homeschool their children now and are looking for ways to introduce their children to the arts.
To help with the loss of fine art classes, The Artist’s Retreat offers a variety of weekly, kids art classes during weekends and after-school hours, but we also offer a weekly homeschool art class scheduled during school hours.
