The Artist’s Retreat

2nd Annual Student Art Show

Attention Artist’s Retreat Students!

Get ready to shine at our 2nd Annual Student Art Show!

Our 2nd Annual Student Art Show is an exciting opportunity to showcase your talent and passion for art. Whether you’re a seasoned student or new to our studio, participation in such events can significantly bolster your confidence and possibly even kickstart art portfolio. Here is a step-by-step guide to ensure your submission stands out and reflects your best work.

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS

Understanding these guidelines is crucial to ensure your artwork is eligible for consideration. Take note of the submission deadline for entering your work into the show.

Next, select up to two pieces of artwork you wish to submit. Choose works that not only comply with the show’s guidelines but also represent your skills and artistic vision effectively. If you have the opportunity, getting feedback from peers, mentors, or art teachers can provide valuable insights into how your work might be received by the audience and the judges.

Finally, prepare your artwork for submission. This includes framing, gallery wrapping or matting your artwork according to our specifications.

Complete the required submission form, which includes details about your artwork (title, medium) and about you as the artist (name, age).

Categories will include 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Best of Show and Honorable Mention, and will be divided by age groups.

Remember, participating in a student art show is not just about winning or recognition. It’s an opportunity to learn, to see your work in a new light, and to be part of a community that shares your passion for art. Embrace the experience, and no matter the outcome, be proud of your courage in putting your art out there for others to enjoy and appreciate.
